Abstract

This article aims at discussing the possibilities of Teacher Education for Professional Education as a space for discussing and seeking to face the socio-environmental crisis, by questioning the capitalist societal model. This societal model has been established as a central environmental issue by means of exploitation of the planet's natural resources and exploitation of the workforce. Therefore, we ask, have Professional Education been forming manpower or citizens? Forming for the job market or for the world of labor? Does this show the logic of capitalism in Teacher Education? What can be done in order to oppose this logic?
