The number of researches on Environmental Education in the business sector has increased significantly this decade due to its gradual use in management systems, corporate responsibility practices and environmental licensing. This paper introduces the construction process of the Environmental Education policies at Furnas, an outstanding mixed corporation in the electrical sector in Brazil. Firstly, we have reported the methodological steps which were taken to develop its policies. We have also pointed out the company’s pedagogical suppositions and guidelines that aim at interconnecting actions and projects to meet the State’s and the company’s requirements. Finally, we have focused on an ongoing business experience, keeping in mind that its dynamics is structurally tensioned by contradictions between public and private interests.Downloads
