The focus of this study was to show the importance of action research in the context of teachinglearning associated with the construction of knowledge, including the study of invertebrates and their conservation, in context with a unit for Nature Conservation - UCN coast. Actions in the field of environmental awareness and direction for developing a sense of belonging of the actors involved in the research were emphasized. The investigation was directed to students of the Municipal School Sérgio Oliveira de Aguiar - EMSOA, located in the district of Jenipabu, within the Environmental Protection Area Jenipabu - APAJ in Rio Grande do Norte, in order to diagnose, promoting awareness-raising to make multipliers them the importance of this conservation area. The school includes elementary school and basic II, however, the research was conducted with elementary students. After collection of initial data field, the research concluded with a synthesis activity involving students applied to the construction of the knowledge acquired during the investigative process. The analysis of responses to written questionnaires and showed that there was a motivation for quality APAJ and still viewed evidence related to cooperation with professionals linked to the respective Unit for Nature Conservation.Downloads
