Abstract

In this article we propose some reflections on environmental education, based on the Mbya Guarani knowledge of the Tekoás Yyrembé and Yvy'ã Poty, seeking to relate their learning processes to Tim Ingold's (2012; 2018; 2020) proposal of "education of attention". To do this, we focused our investigation on the notions of "Jeguatá" and "Etnofloresta", since they bring together a body of knowledge forged in the experiences of these Mbyá Guarani in their learning processes. This has also led us to deepen the idea of "Tekoá" beyond what is simply a village. So, we defend the idea of Tekoá from its own perspective, in the movement of learning by living and producing life. Our understanding of these notions was built up through ethnographic experience with the two Tekoás, based on the following question: what can we learn from the Mbyá Guarani in order to think about a different kind of environmental education?

Juliana Martello, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande

Bacharel em História pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG, com ênfase em sistema agroflorestal Mbyá Guarani. Mestre em Educação Ambiental pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG, com dissertação acerca dos processos educativos Mbyá Guarani a partir de sua etnofloresta. Integrante do Núcleo de Estudos dos Saberes Costeiros e Contra-Hegemônicos - NECO, do Programa de Pós Graduação em Educação Ambiental (PPGEA), da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG).

Gianpaolo Knoller Adomilli, Federal University of Rio Grande

Bachellor in Social Sciences (2001) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS, MA (2003) and PhD (2007) in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS. Lecturer at the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG, linked to the Institute of Human Sciences and Information - ICHI, BA in Archaeology. Lecturer in the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Education - PPGEA - FURG, in the research line Fundamentals of Environmental Education - FEA. Coordinates the Center for Coastal and Counter-Hegemonic Knowledge Studies - NECO/FURG (CNPq Research Groups Directory). She has experience in the areas of Anthropology and Environmental Education. She develops studies on coastal and counter-hegemonic knowledge from a mobile and sensorial perspective, mainly with groups who live/inhabit/circulate in coastal maritime environments, focusing on the following themes: territorialities, environments and learning.
