The present paper, developed in two public schools in Recife-Pernambuco, had as main objective analyze how the Biology book helps the students comprehend everyday life. Questionnaires were used with students and interviews with Biology teachers. The results point to the students’ satisfaction with the Biology book used in schools, but emphasize that the teacher is fundamental to help them join scientific knowledge to their everyday lifeDownloads
