Abstract

This article talks about capoeira and black culture in suburb public school environments and among homeless tennage boys and/or girls. From an ethnographic research we investigated these populations and environments looking for body expressions coming from black culture and popular movements expressed in them. The focus is contributing to the reflection on the school curriculum in order to overcome the Eurocentric standard. At the same time, it also indicates practical possibilities that have already been tried to build a multicultural curriculum.
