Abstract

The present paper centers itself in the analysis of the "social rights and social assistance in Brazil” from a reading perspective of a History teacher that seeks to point not just some imperfect aspects of the work of the social worker Berenice Rojas Couto. But also, stress some analytic elements exposed by this author who allow us to establish in the History field, some reflections among the processes of conquest and the turning with effect of social rights in Brazil along its 500 years of History that can be used as resources of analysis of the current social conjuncture in class room.
