Abstract

For Michel Serres the Earth lives in a moment of deep agony. Stage of endless wars among men, that natural substratum of the origin and survival of the species suffers before the countless ways of resulting aggressions not only between groups or rival nations, but from the human violence in the forms derived of an abusive, parasitic, and deadly productive process. The present article has a very specific purpose: to contribute for who begins in reading the philosopher Serres – a man that is fond of life, knowledge and peace – with a brief report on its life, its formation and its message. Naturally, it is a modest and unpretentious text, before the richness of this ardent and captivating thinker, that insists in the cooperation among the different cultures and in what he names "third" or "mestizo" education, in order to we safeguard to us and the own Earth of the final extinction.
