Abstract

This study takes into account that the understanding of the environmental reality has been going through a change in attitudes: the more knowledge people have about nature, the more they change their attitudes. This paper describes a work proposal in Environmental Physics. It was carried out with 14 to 18-year old students who go to a school in Cuiaba, MT for a year. The project comprised the analysis of relations between the weather in the region and the quality of the rainwater. Firstly, data was collected and analyzed. Then, questions about the results of the research were studied in disciplines such as Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Students not only had to opportunity to go through a meaningful learning experience but also contributed to improve their quality of life when they publicized the results in the school community.
