Complexity and Dialectics: the search for new elements in critical tradition to deal with the challenges of Environmental Education

This paper presents some initial critical reflections and possibilities of dialogue between two important philosophical traditions which constitute the theoretical frame of Environmental Education in Brazil: Marx’s dialectics and Morin’s complexity, regarding their similarities and differences. It aims at evidencing both their potentiality and relevance in the construction of an educational environmental field, rather than comparing or defining different levels of importance. Thus, their historical contributions and limitations have been respected. Key words: Marx’s Dialectics; Morin’s Complexity; Environmental Education.Downloads
