MERCOSUL: la cultura como base de la integración

Abstract

This papers, divided in two sections, but linked to one another, analyses a circumstance of real importance in the present context, but debatable in the political and economical field – the culture as a basis for the integration of Mercosul. The author, at first, contextualizes in a worlwide sense the uncertainty and discusses the globalization of economic blocks in the postmodern society. This globalization is a consequence of the neoliberal politics imposed to the central countries in the west world and why not say, to all countries in the Earth. The author also makes a short retrospective of Mercosul and analyses the issue of the culture as a central axis. This culture, understood as way of living, constitutes the basis of the integration instead of the economical/financial aspect. As an apex, he presents some educational, cientific, environmental and citizen development suggestions in order to show that they can be integrated under the cultural point of view.
