Ecopedagogy in Brazil

Abstract

The context of the formation of Ecopedagogy is a new paradigm that seeks environmental citizenship, with an approach that elucidates and brings perspectives to the multiple challenges of the XXI century. This article aims to prepare a literature review that is similar to the State of Knowledge of Ecopedagogy and understand the distinctions regarding Environmental Education. With this, we present contributions to expanding the vision of elementary education teachers regarding the importance of Earth Pedagogy. Exploratory bibliografhic research with a qualitative approach, which produced a bibliografhic survey of the Theses and Dissertations in the CAPES repository,  to understand the production of the proposed theme. By carrying out this work, it was possible to  comprehend how the understanding of Ecopedagogy and its differentiations from Environmental Education is geing constructed, in addition to presenting the ecopedagogical contributions to the work of basic education teachers.
