In view of the environmental impacts of unbridled exploitation, climate justice emerges as a fundamental concept for understanding the inequalities in the distribution of the effects of climate change for the most vulnerable communities. In this context, this study presents an educational intervention aimed at promoting climate justice and critical environmental education in the institutional environment of the Regional Labor Court of the 21st Region (TRT-RN), through the involvement of its outsourced maintenance team. The methodology adopted consisted of an intervention research process with five main stages: participatory diagnosis, daily approaches, practical activities, recording of experiences and a final discussion circle. The results demonstrate the potential of environmental education as a tool for social mobilization in non-school spaces, promoting awareness of socio-environmental impacts and encouraging collective co-responsibility. Among the main results, we highlight the improvement in waste disposal, with separation, weighing and correct disposal; a progressive increase in the interest and curiosity of employees in relation to the initiative; a collective reflection on the environmental impacts of human actions, especially in the urban-institutional context; and the intervention also proved to be a space for denunciation and mobilization in favor of environmental justice. Thus, the experience of the practice reinforced the potential of environmental education as a transformative tool, capable of awakening critical awareness and promoting concrete changes even in contexts traditionally far removed from formal educational practices.
