Esta pesquisa investiga as intersecções entre a História do Conhecimento e a Organização do Conhecimento, partindo da hipótese de que ambos os campos compartilham fundamentos teórico-metodológicos e se complementam na compreensão da produção, estruturação e circulação do saber. Utilizou-se método qualitativo e teórico-conceitual, baseado em revisão crítica da literatura especializada (incluindo autores clássicos e contemporâneos das duas áreas) e em análise de fontes secundárias, como enciclopédias e obras de referência da Organização do Conhecimento. Os resultados indicam convergência em torno de preocupações centrais, como produção, legitimação e recuperação do conhecimento, e mostram que a Organização do Conhecimento oferece instrumentos práticos (taxonomias, ontologias, vocabulários controlados e sistemas de classificação) enquanto a História do Conhecimento fornece enquadramento temporal e crítico sobre mudanças epistêmicas e exclusões históricas. Identificaram-se também desafios e lacunas: necessidade de integração metodológica mais consistente, atenção às transformações históricas dos esquemas classificatórios e inclusão de epistemologias marginalizadas. Conclui-se que a aproximação entre HC e OC enriquece a compreensão crítica dos sistemas do saber e recomenda-se maior diálogo teórico-metodológico entre as áreas.
