O CROSSFIT KIDS COMO FERRAMENTA DE INTERVENÇÃO NA EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA ESCOLAR
Abstract
ABSTRACT: The article addresses the use of CrossFit Kids as an intervention in school Physical Education classes, in order to combat sedentary lifestyle and promote physical and mental health in children. The methodology involved a narrative review of the literature, using academic databases such as MedLine and SciELO, selecting 11 studies on the subject. The results indicate that CrossFit Kids improves muscle strength, flexibility and cooperation among students, in addition to increasing participation in physical activities. The studies showed positive impacts on the psychomotor and cognitive development of students, with improvements in subjects such as mathematics and language. CrossFit Kids is considered to promote healthy habits that can last beyond the school environment, contributing to an active life in adulthood. Conclusion: The CrossFit Kids modality is an efficient tool to engage students in physical activities, providing physical, social, and educational benefits.
