Objective: To describe vaccine coverage of applied doses of the HPV vaccine in a population aged 11 and 14 years in southern Brazil. Method: This is a descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional study. Data collection was performed using secondary data using the HPV Vaccination Strategy databases, from 2013 to 2019, in the federative units of Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Paraná (PR) and Santa Catarina (SC). Results and Discussion: 2,165,989, of both sexes, were notified as vaccinated, with the following results: RS needs to evaluate its vaccination campaign strategies for greater coverage and vaccination coverage in the age group studied; SC has achieved coverage at some ages but needs to measure at others; PR needs to pay attention to the vaccination of boys, especially regarding the second dose of the vaccine. Final considerations: Despite the enormous benefit of the vaccine, it is clear that there is still a lot of resistance to vaccinating adolescents. Therefore, the study highlights the need to expand vaccination coverage in Brazil and better performance of the relationship between Primary Care and the school community, the target audience of this campaign.
