The present article aims to analyze the routine in Early Childhood Education from the perspective of the bioecological theory of human development proposed by Urie Bronfenbrenner. In this sense, the routine is understood not merely as a set of activities organized in time and space, but as a structuring element of the interactions among the child, educators, family, and the broader social environment. The analysis shows that the predictability and stability of routines contribute to children’s sense of security and belonging, while also enabling the development of autonomy and active participation in educational experiences. It is concluded, based on this theoretical study, that understanding routine in light of the bioecological theory broadens the pedagogical perspective on daily life in Early Childhood Education, valuing it as a fundamental space for integral development and for the realization of a humanizing and contextualized education.
