SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AT SCHOOL THROUGH ADVENTURE BODY PRACTICES
Abstract
Among the themes that are part of body culture we have the Adventure Body Practices (in Portuguese, “PCA”). They occur in different locations, and it is necessary to think about actions regarding the preservation of the environment when approaching the topic. In this sense, the study aims to present debates carried out, during a didactic sequence, in order to question the explorations generated in the capitalist system, in search of the socio-environmental awareness of students in Physical Education classes, based on Historical-Critical Pedagogy (abbreviated “PHC” in Portuguese) with the theme “PCA” in nature. The research was carried out with a third-grade class from regular high school, in six double lessons, with 26 students. The field diary and the construction of the focus group were used to create data. We note that the critical pedagogies in the context of School Physical Education reveals itself as a possibility for the constitution of socio-environmental awareness.
