The study aims to comprehend the nighttime leisure experiences of a cohort of young medical students concerning alcohol consumption throughout the night. Through participant observations and semi-structured interviews, we observed that nocturnal outings entail a sequence of events, urban movements, encounters, and primarily, alcohol consumption. Various modes of nocturnal outings were identified, including strategies to economize and navigate urban spaces. Alcohol consumption emerges as a prevalent practice among these youth, with diverse patterns of usage and venues, thereby influencing the choice of beverages and their management. These nocturnal escapades transcend mere quantitative analyses, reflecting the pursuit of enjoyment, alongside social dynamics, individual expectations, and the management of alcohol consumption within nocturnal experiences.
