Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author is committed to and guarantees good writing and any linguistic revisions. Due to the limited public resources, the journal cannot commit itself to the text review process.

Author Guidelines

1. Submission Guidelines
1. Authorship composition, regardless of professional affiliation and place of origin:
1.2. For individual authorship, the author must hold a PhD.
1.3. In the case of co-authorship, the authors may be undergraduate, master's, or doctoral students, with only one (1) being a PhD.
1.4. In the case of multiple authorship, the contribution of each author to the article must be presented in accordance with the Guide for Marking and Publishing Author Contributions: CRediT Taxonomy (SciELO, 2023).
1.5. All authors must have an ORCID ID (https://orcid.org/). The metadata ID must be duly completed.

1.6. Authors must complete and provide all metadata on the journal's platform, such as education, academic background, institution, CV link, LATTES CV link (https://lattes.cnpq.br/) – for all Brazilian authors –, contact information, etc.

2. Supplementary Guidelines

2.1. The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being considered for publication by another journal; if this is not the case, justify in "Comments to the Editor".
2.2. The article should have a minimum length of 6000 to 8000 words and be submitted as a .doc or .docx document, not containing the authors' names, as it is a blind review.

2.3. Title in Portuguese, in English and in the language of the article, if other, and should clearly and precisely express the general content of the article.

2.4 Keywords and abstract in Portuguese, in English and in the language of the article, if other. The abstract should have a maximum length of 250 (two hundred and fifty) words, according to ABNT NBR 6028:2021.

2.5 Section titles should be typographically highlighted, in a hierarchical manner, from primary to quinary. The graphic resources of uppercase, bold, italics or underlining and gold may be used, according to ABNT NBR 6024:2012.
2.6 The text should have paragraphs with 1.5 spacing for the body of the text. The spacing should be single for long quotations (four lines or more), footnotes, figure sources and any other details, in font size 10. All text should be justified and use a 1.25cm indentation from the left margin at the beginning of each paragraph.
2.7 Quotations of up to 3 (three) lines should be included in the text, in quotation marks. Quotations with more than 3 lines should be indented four (4) cm from the paragraph, dispensing with quotation marks.
2.8 Foreign words should be written in italics.
2.9 Illustrations, graphs, drawings, charts, tables, etc. should be restricted to what is absolutely necessary for the clarity of the text and should be located as close as possible to the passage where they are mentioned, providing an indication of the source used and being legible.

2.10 Titles or captions should be clear and objective.
2.11Citations should comply with ABNT NBR 10520:2023.
2.12 References should comply with ABNT NBR 6023:2025.
2.13 The file containing the article text should be attached in .doc and .docx format, according to the Manuscript Template for articles and the Review Template for reviews.
2.14 The file identifying the authors should be attached at the time of submission of articles or reviews in .doc and .docx format, according to the About the Authors Template.
2.15 The author must, at the time of submission, complete the Open Science Compliance Form and attach it to the submission in the "Pre-evaluation Discussion" field.
2.16 For submissions with multiple authors, the CRediT Taxonomy document – ​​as shown in the table below – detailing the roles of each author must be completed and submitted as an attachment.
