<b>Os métodos quantitativos como ampliação da visão qualitativa</b>

Abstract

Here one takes the view that researches made by combining qualitative and quantitative methods will gain broader view of the problem studied. Want to convince researchers that, despite knowing that people have different capacities to deal with qualitative or quantitative methods, teamwork, joining the two views presented above, will overcome these personal limitations. Arguing, explains the concept of personal maps that show how to generate the differences between people. It then explains the concept of profound knowledge, which defends the junction of four areas of knowledge: system management, understanding its variation, psychology and theory of knowledge. Soon it is presented the foundations of quantitative research, and argued the existence of subjectivity in these studies. Finally, it is defended the quali-quantitative research, arguing about its advantages. It is conclude that there is no time for prejudice in both terms of the equation: qualitative x quantitative, when there are serious problems to be solved.
