About the Journal
JURIS - Journal of the Law School is a scientific journal affiliated with the Law School and the Graduate Program in Law and Social Justice (PPGDJS) at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). It is published semiannually and welcomes critical and interdisciplinary studies on the relationships between Law and Social Justice. The journal addresses issues related to equality of rights, solidarity, and sustainability, deepening the scientific debate that articulates alternatives for sustainable development and equal opportunities in multicultural societies and the globalized world.
The journal accepts articles, comparative studies, translations, case law comments, and critical reviews that tackle the main issues involving Law in the face of citizenship challenges, legal pluralism, and that propose reflections on alternatives for resolving social conflicts based on humanitarian values, committed to public ethics and social justice. Similarly, studies that assess and promote the adoption of compensatory public policies and initiatives to stimulate the sustainability of economic and social development and the protection of biodiversity are also welcomed.
