In the search for a better way to receive crack users, the Team of CENPRE (Centre for Research, Prevention and Recovery of Chemical Dependents) conducted a cross-sectional research among the users of the service. It was assessed the form of reception to the user of crack that at the time of the study, was similar to the main points of service for the user of drugs. The results revealed that 55% of users of crack never telephoned or returned to the centre to meet scheduled, highlighting the need for changes in the way of care that population. It is essential for studies to examine the routines of care, as to serve as a tool for the construction of a better model for receiving and processing of crack users as a way of improving the prognosis and reduce the damage caused to the individual and for society with the use of drugs.Downloads
