Abstract

The dossier "Socioenvironmental Justice: Multiple Dimensions and Perspectives" addresses socioenvironmental justice as a legal-political concept that transcends the intersection between social justice and environmental protection. It seeks to ensure the equitable distribution of the benefits and burdens of natural resource exploitation while protecting the rights of vulnerable populations. The dossier includes interdisciplinary studies on topics such as eucalyptus monoculture, the impacts of the climate crisis on vulnerable communities, and the quilombola struggle for recognition. This work aims to promote more just and sustainable public policies.

Author Biography

Allívia Rouse Carregosa Rabbani, Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia da Bahia (IFBA)

Ph.D. in Agricultural and Forestry Research from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, validated by the University of Brasília - Ph.D. in Agronomy. Master's degree in Agroecosystems from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS). Forestry Engineer from UFS. Computer Technician from SENAC (Web programming in JAVA platform). Has experience in the field of Forest and Agronomic Resources with an emphasis on nature conservation, alternative energy, and population genetics for biodiversity conservation. Researcher and professor at the Basic, Technical, and Technological Education Institute (IFBA) - Porto Seguro Campus. Permanent faculty of the Graduate Program in Environmental Sciences and Technologies (PPGCTA). Layout editor of the Paubrasilia Journal and Petim. Leader of the teaching, research, and extension group "Center for Studies in Agro-environmental Sciences and Technologies (NECTA)" at IFBA.
