Abstract

Nutritional education has been focused in many epidemiological studies, specially, and the results show a relationship between nutritional behavior and diseases. The aim of this study was to propose strategies for nutritional education from examples routine activities of workers in the Nutrition Unit of the Hospital Sociedade Portuguesa de Beneficência de Pelotas – RS – Brazil (HSPBP), aiming to propose a permanent education process focused on the reality of food workers. During June an August, 2001, daily, before the workers start their activities, the nutritionist made a theoretical-practical lecture to all workers. So, at the end of this process, the satisfaction and motivation of this people were evident, since they understood their functionality for the health professionals.
