ANGIOGÊNESE E TUMORIGÊNESE: ONDE OCORRE A INTERSECÇÃO E AS POSSIBILIDADES DE TERAPIAS
Keywords:

All cells need to receive nutrients and to eliminate their metabolic wastes. In order to do that, during body growth and tissue regeneration, physiologic angiogenese occurs. However, in some diseases, such as cancer, this vascular growth mechanism also is triggered. For neoplasias establishment, expansion and metastization is fundamental that tumors stimulate the production of their own vessels, a process known as tumoral angiogenesis. A better understanding of the interaction between the tumor and his vascular structures will help to improve antiangiogenic treatments not only for cancer itself, but also for preventing neoplasias installation and recurrence.Downloads
