O gênero da biografia e a história do direito internacional

Resumo

O giro historiográfico possibilitou uma abertura e renovação na história do direito internacional. No entanto, relegou as biografias a um papel secundário, conferindo-lhes um status inferior em relação a outros gêneros. Este trabalho visa resgatar a importância do gênero biográfico na história do direito internacional, argumentando que ele pode destacar tanto os sujeitos historicamente excluídos quanto os processos que condicionam essas exclusões. Para alcançar esse objetivo, analisamos como as abordagens feministas na história podem contribuir para problematizar o que denominamos de "escrita heróica" do passado no direito internacional. Isso visa complexificar tanto o passado quanto o presente da disciplina, desconstruindo ideias monolíticas sobre  autores e atores envolvidos em sua elaboração, ultrapassando significativamente a esfera da vida acadêmica e profissional dos fundadores, pais e mestres.

Joao Roriz, UFG

Professor adjunto no curso de Relações Internacionais e nos programas de pós-graduação em Ciência Política e em Direitos Humanos da Universidade Federal de Goiás. Estágio de pós-doutorado na Universidade de Oxford (Bolsista CAPES, 2015-2016) e na Universidade de Brasília (Bolsista FAPEG, 2021-2022). Coordenador da Cátedra Sérgio Vieira de Mello na UFG. Tem interesse em direito internacional, direitos humanos e migração, principalmente a partir de perspectivas críticas e históricas.
