Mortality from motorcycle accidents represents a significant public health problem in Brazil and worldwide. Objective: To analyze the profile and temporal trend of mortality from motorcycle accidents in Brazil between 2010 and 2021. An epidemiological study of mixed ecological type. Data from DATASUS of 116.038 deaths of motorcycle accident victims that occurred between 2010 and 2021 in Brazil were included. For the profile analysis, the proportions of deaths according to sex, age group, skin color, and regions were calculated, while for the analysis of the temporal trend of mortality, standardized notification rates and the simple linear regression method were used. The behavior (increase, decrease, or stability) was evaluated by the value (positive or negative), by the statistical significance of the regression coefficient (β) for the value of p<0.05. The study revealed a predominance of males (89,73%), aged 20-29 years (41,62%) and 30-39 years (28,57%), and brown skin color (57,01%) in both sexes. The temporal analysis showed a trend of stability in the overall mortality rate (4,73/100.000), with a higher average rate in males (8.68/100.000), in the 20-29 age group (11,67/100.000), in both sexes, and in the Midwest (6,82/100.000). The profile showed higher proportions of males, young, economically active, brown-skinned, and from the Northeast; while the time trend in mortality showed stability in the overall rate between the years studied, with a reduction in the 20-39 age group and an increase in the 50-59 age group.
