Virtual fascism, hate, and... memes: Hate speech and fascism on /pol/

It is known of the cybernetic underworld of the chans,
anonymous and open forums for discussion, as a virtual epicenter of the
production of memes, although there is also a need for reckonizing its
other facet: the fascist and hateful one. In this article, hate speech on
4chan’s subforum /pol/ (“politically incorret”) is analyzed based on the
metodology from Kozinet’s Netnografy. A reflection is to be proposed
on the instrumentalization of humor done by the users of /pol/, and how
the fascist phenomenon has adapted itself to fit into this virtual ambiente,
as well as the presentation of the data collected from 4chan in order to
establish an image of the intensity of its fascist and hateful speeches.
